Monday 16th classes cancelled 16th May 2022
Hi everyone. Hope that you're all okay  Unfortunately, I'm going to have to cancel my classes this evening. I've unknowingly had Covid over the past week and I'm still testing as positive. I was hoping that I would be okay by today however the test is still showing a faint line  I don't want to risk spreading it to anybody. I'm absolutely gutted as was really looking forward to getting back to classes and seeing you guys after my week off! I will test again tomorrow and fingers crossed I'll be able to resume my classes from then! I will be contacting those who have booked for this evening shortly. regarding moving your bookings. I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and I hope to be back at classes very soon!

PLEASE READ! Updated Covid Guidance - February 2022 3rd February 2022
Hi everyone!  Just an update regarding mask-wearing at classes. My insurance provider has stated that masks should still be worn indoors when moving around the venue (but not when exercising) in line with guidance from the Welsh Government: https://gov.wales/face-coverings-guidance-public (this does not apply if you are medically exempt). Additionally, although many restrictions have now been lifted, many of my Covid responses will remain until the foreseeable future to keep classes as safe as possible. There is still a legal requirement for businesses, employers and other organisations to take reasonable measures to minimise the risk of exposure to and spread of coronavirus. I want you to be and feel as safe as possible and enjoy your time at my classes, therefore:   I will: - Continue to use hand sanitiser regularly  - Continue to limit class numbers and use an online booking system - Continue to clean before and after classes (wiping down surfaces and other touchpoints) - Continue to run classes with no equipment (where mats are necessary, customers should bring their own) - Continue to keep the hall well ventilated   I would encourage participants to: - Only attend when you feel 100% well and healthy - Wear a mask indoors when not exercising (this does not apply if you are medically exempt). - Sanitise your hands upon entering and exiting the venue (hand sanitising stations are available). - Respect social distancing and remain mindful of those around you when moving around the venue   Thank you so much everyone for your continued cooperation and support. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch.  Hope to see you at a class soon!

If you'd like to book just go to the 'Timetable' page and click on the purple button.
Hope to see you at a class soon :)

UPDATED COVID CLASS GUIDANCE - JANUARY 2022 5th January 2022

Due to the recent increase in Covid infections, there are some important things we all need to keep in mind to ensure that the classes are as safe as possible.

Therefore, before you book your class, please thoroughly read the guidance below:

Firstly before booking for this class, consider the following questions. If you answer ‘yes’ to any of these questions I would strongly advise you to stay at home.

1. Have you or anyone in your household had COVID-19 symptoms in the last 14 days?

2. Have you just tested positive for Covid-19?

3. Have you been advised to isolate by the NHS Track & Trace App?

If you have answered ‘no’ to these questions and feel 100% fit and healthy then please read the following information carefully.

I want you to be and feel as safe as possible and enjoy your time at my classes, therefore:

I will:

- Wear a face covering at all times when not teaching

- Use hand sanitiser regularly

- Limit class numbers (to a maximum of 15) and use an online booking system

- Clean before and after classes (wiping down surfaces and other touchpoints)

- Run classes with no equipment (where mats are necessary, customers should bring their own)

- Keep the hall well ventilated

I ask participants to:

- Enter the hall no earlier than 5 minutes before the class starts

- Wear a face covering when not participating in physical activity. You must wear masks on entry to classes until in the space to commence activity and must place back at the end of the class

- Sanitise your hands upon entering and leaving the venue (sanitising stations are provided)

- Bring as few personal belongings into the hall as possible, so that I can eliminate touchpoints.

- Please respect 2m social distancing and remain mindful of those around you during the class and when moving around the venue.

Contact tracing:

Track and Trace is a requirement. Track and Trace is a requirement. Upon booking, your full name and contact information will be recorded. This information will be used for Track & Trace purposes and may be forwarded to the venue if required. This information will be maintained by the venue for 21 days and then destroyed if not required.

If you develop symptoms within 7 days of attending a class or if you receive a positive test, please inform me asap. Going forward, you should follow the self-isolation government guidance and if you already haven’t, apply for a coronavirus test.

Lateral flow tests:

It's recommended that everyone should take a lateral flow test before seeing others.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you have any questions regarding any of the above please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Hope to see you at a class soon!

Christmas 24th November 2021

Hi everyone.

Hope that you're all having a good week so far! :)

Just some advanced notice that my last classes of 2021 will be on Monday 6th December. I was going to continue on until the 9th, however, due to low numbers and the hall being booked out for other engagements I have decided to finish a bit earlier.

The classes on the 6th will be Christmas themed, so please do feel free to dress up in something festive and get ready to boogie to some Christmas tunes! Do make sure you book as spaces are limited.

Really hope to see you all at a class soon! :)

Please read - Covid safety measures 15th November 2021

Hi everyone!

Just sending out a little reminder that masks should be worn indoors when not exercising. When you enter the building please keep it on until the class begins. This does not apply if you are medically exempt. Please also don't forget to sanitise your hands on your way in AND out of the hall. I want to ensure I'm doing everything I can to keep you all safe and healthy

Many thanks and look forward to seeing you at a class soon :)

Timetable Changes - November 2021 27th October 2021

Hi everyone.

Hope that you're all having a lovely Half Term, despite the gloomy weather so far!

Just getting in touch to let you know of a few updates to my Timetable that will be coming into effect from 1st November.

Upon feedback from many of you I have decided to mix up my Timetable a bit, and therefore am going to trial a Fat Attack (HIIT) class on Wednesdays 6:15-7pm and a Pilates class on a Thursdays 7:15-8:15 pm.

These classes will run on a trial basis until we break up in December.

What are these classes?

- FAT ATTACK! is a fun and lively total-body, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) workout that combines cardio and strength training. Using body-weight exercises such as squats, pushups, jumping jacks and planks, this workout targets the major muscle groups, blasts calories and improves strength, stamina and endurance! 💪

- PILATES is a completely non-impact yet challenging workout, that will help to improve your posture, flexibility and core strength. As well as physical benefits, it has many mental ones too such as improved concentration, wellbeing and reduced stress. You'll leave class looking and feeling taller, slimmer, stronger and more streamlined!

Unfortunately because of these changes, a Zumba class has had to go as sadly participant numbers just weren't enough to make it viable for me to hold 3 of these classes per week. However, there are still 2 other Zumba classes on during the week (Mondays and Thursdays 6-7 pm) so I'm hoping all my Zumberinas can make one or both of those instead!

If you would like to book for any of my classes you can find my simple and easy-to-follow booking system here: https://www.oliviasweeneyfitness.co.uk/book#/events

If you are new to classes please ensure that you fill out a health screening form first before booking. To save you time you can find it here: https://form.jotform.com/210313967964058

I really hope that you all have a lovely rest of the week and to see you back at classes next Monday!

If you could spread the word to any friends or family members who you think may be interested in my classes it would be so appreciated. Also if you have any questions or queries please don't hesitate to get in touch!

Pilates class cancelled 2nd September 2021

Unfortunately due to low numbers and having to cancel multiple classes because of this, I have decided to end my Pilates class on a Tuesday evening as the Social Club is now taking another booking during that time slot. I'm really sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment caused and would like to thank those who have supported the class. I really hope to see you at another class instead.

Please can I remind everyone that if you would like classes to stay on, PLEASE come along and if you could spread the words to your friends & family, it would be so appreciated.

I completely understand that it's been Summer Holidays, and with Covid on top that is going to cause numbers to drop, however, I will be unable to continue with classes unless they are financially viable. All other classes are still running as normal at the moment, and I will look into this again at the end of September. Thank you for your understanding and hope to see you at a class soon :)

PLEASE READ - CLASS CANCELLATIONS 15th August 2021
Hi everyone. Really sorry but there will be NO classes on next week. I've just been notified by the NHS track & trace app that I have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for Covid, and have to self isolate for 7 days. Classes will resume again hopefully from next Monday - please check back here for updates. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. Hope that you all have a lovely weekend and to see you soon.

Yoga class discontinued during August 4th August 2021
Hi everyone. Hope you're all having a good week so far 🙂 Just letting you know that I have decided to discontinue my Wednesday Yoga class for the rest of the month and restart it again on 1st September. All other classes are still running as normal! 🙂 ❤

Classes restarting Monday 19th July! 18th July 2021

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well and enjoying this fabulous weather

The count-down is now officially on until my classes restart on Monday the 19th! Are you excited?!

I'm just getting in touch with some information regarding booking for classes. Pre-booking is essential as spaces are limited in order to follow social-distancing guidelines in place at this time. Therefore unfortunately, I cannot accept walk-ins at the moment.

Please see below for all the relevant information:

- The booking system I will be using is called Gymcatch. This is used by hundreds of fitness instructors, and is simple and easy to use. Simply go here OR you can download the Gymcatch App and search 'Olivia Sweeney Fitness' under the option Book. You will then be able to see my full timetable and book the class/classes of your choice.

- You will need to register and make an account with GymCatch in order to book for a class. All you need is to enter your name and email address, and create a password. Upon bookings you will be sent an email to confirm your space. Please check that you have received this confirmation, otherwise your space may not be secured.

- Please be rest assured that the online payments are safely and securely processed by Stripe, which is a large international payment provider.

- Booking opens 48 hours before the scheduled class, and closes 3 hours before it's start time.

- Before booking, you will be asked to fill out a Participation Questionnaire. I will need your personal details and medical history before you can attend your first class with me. (You will only need to fill this in the first time you book a class with me, it will then be stored digitally according to GDPR regulations). If you have any injuries or medical conditions, please check with your healthcare provider that it is safe for you to exercise before booking for a class. In some circumstances, I may require a letter from your doctor before participation. Therefore, if you have any concerns please get in touch before booking, so that we can discuss if this may be necessary. If you would like a head-start on filling out your form so that you don't have to do it at time of booking you can find it here.

- If you book for a class, but for whatever reason cannot attend – it would be really appreciated if you could let me know asap, as this allows me to open up the space to another person.

- Finally, if you are unsure of the Gymcatch booking process or would like to see it in action then please see the video on my Facebook page from 17th July where I walk you through the booking process step-by-step. You can also click here for a tutorial video where I walk you through the booking process step-by-step.

Safety precautions:

I want to clarify that I will be taking every precaution to ensure that you are kept safe during your time at my classes. Upon booking, there will be more information on some of the guidelines that have been put in place and which must be followed. PLEASE ensure that you read these THOROUGHLY before booking so that you're familiar with them and know what to expect.

Equipment:

Also if you didn't already know, you will need to bring along your own mats to classes that require them (Yoga, Pilates, LBT and Fat Attack!) - I will no longer be providing equipment due to Covid therefore please don't forget! Please also don't forget to bring along a bottle of water. The kitchen will be out of bounds, so please ensure that your bottle is full!

So that's it for now folks, if you have any questions or queries regarding anything, please don't hesitate to get in touch. If you are nervous about returning to class that's completely understandable. I promise I will be waiting to greet you with a big warm smile and I am certain that you will love the back-to-class experience.

Look forward to seeing you at a class soon!

Fitness classes restarting! 29th June 2021

Hi everyone!

Hope that you’re well and having a fab Summer so far 😊I’ve got some exciting news that I think you may be interested in! I’ve got the go ahead to restart my classes at Llanyravon Social Club, and am hoping to be back-up and running from mid-July all being well 😊I just need to check what the interest is before I start making plans!

Before you get back to me, there are a few things to keep in mind. Please read the points below:
- Due to covid guidelines class numbers will be restricted in order to obey social distancing rules, therefore the prices will be going up slightly (by a £1)
- Pre-booking for classes will be essential. I am in the process of looking at online booking systems, where you can pay and book for your classes ahead of time
- I will not be running classes that require equipment, therefore Kettlericse will not be running at this time (sorry!). For classes that require a mat, you will need to bring along your own (These can be easily purchased for reasonable prices)

If you are up for coming back to classes, please get in touch with which ones you’d like to see on the Timetable (I know Zumba will definitely be requested!)  My timetable hasn’t changed in such a long time, so I was thinking of mixing it up a bit and maybe trialling some new classes such as Aerobics and/or body conditioning/legs bums and tums. What do you think?

Really looking forward to hearing from you all! 😊<3
